biography
Michael McNabney creates art in several media including oil, encaustic, ink, and paper mache`. Michael’s work is characterized by strong color and straightforward compositions. Figurative and animal motifs are recurrent subject matter drafted with expressive line.
Michael studied studio art at the New York Art Students League, Lyme Academy of Fine Arts and private instructors. He maintains a studio in downtown New London and lives in Ledyard.
Recent exhibitions of Michael’s work include shows at the Golden Street Gallery, Stonington Vineyards, Hygienic Gallery, Pacific Street Art Gallery, Mysic Arts Center, and several alternative spaces. Michael’s work is represented in private and corporate collections.
